Our Asia Parkour team is composed of experienced, passionate and dedicated coaches who have been parkour practitioners since the early days in France and the UK. They have trained with the pioneers of the sport and those who were integral to the development and creation of parkour over 15 years ago. Alex has been practicing parkour and freerunning since 2007 and has been coaching classes and leading workshops since 2009. He was in the first group of ADAPT (the first and only recognised parkour coaching certification) qualified coaches in the world and the youngest in the world at that time. Alex ran Sydney’s first ever parkour and freerunning facility. He also has a background in various martial arts and boxing and has competed in MMA, Taekwondo and muay Thai. He has vast experience coaching physical fitness and has a passion for nutrition. Julien Vigroux is the Founder, Managing Director and Master Coach at Asia Parkour. He started his parkour journey 15 years ago in France, the birthplace of parkour, when the discipline was at its early stage. He built his strong foundations surrounded by the second generation of practitioners. After spending two years in the UK developing his coaching skills and becoming certified as an ADAPT Level 1 Parkour Instructor, he ended up in Bangkok where he has been training hundreds of clients. He has helped to introduce parkour to the fitness industry in Asia over the past three years, organising workshops at the Asia Fitness Convention held in Bangkok every October and at IFEX fitness convention held in Jakarta. He is also a co-founder of MOV’, a unique parkour-only program for health clubs developed in Europe and USA. Julien is dedicated to spreading the original philosophy of parkour as it was practiced at its creation, a holistic discipline focused on self-improvement, reconnecting the body and spirit to allow people to better understand their bodies and learn how to express themselves through natural movements. Julien sees parkour as a state of mind, a way of thinking. How and why you practice is essential, and there is no window for shortcuts but only a way to be a better you and apply the benefits of the practice into your modern life
