My mom would be away for my 20th birthday. I was pretty thrilled because I was planning on having a party with some friends with no one to bother us! So far, she hadn’t said a word about not being around on this particular day. I thought, along with my youngest brother, that she had completely forgotten due to her busy work schedule. I wasn’t expecting a present, anyway.
